An evidential sitting is what some call a mediumistic reading.
Such an appointment aims to unite the two worlds – a loved one in the spirit world and you, the sitter, in the earthly world.
Evidential mediumship is regarded as ‘active mental mediumship’. This means that the medium may be in a slightly shifted mental state but otherwise remains fully conscious. In such sessions a medium acts as an intermediary between your loved one in the spirit world and yourself.
In mediumship of this type, the emphasis is always on presenting evidence about the loved one—information that you can ideally verify. This may include details of their passing, their relationship to you, a physical description, and significant shared memories.
