About Me
Early Beginnings
Almost as soon as I was able to read, I began to teach myself about mysticism, ancient religions, magic, divination, and the worldwide belief in spirit contact that has informed the belief in another dimension, very close, but just beyond this one.
From 1988 until his passing in 2003, I was one of the few private students of Brother RBB, a well-respected Kabbalist, Hermetic philosopher and ceremonial magician in West Yorkshire. It was from him that my interests in religious history, the universe, Neoplatonic philosophy and the ancient world were first nurtured. He shaped my mind and led me to realise the bigger picture behind everything.
I have received many teachings and initiations within several lineages of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism.
Some teachings dating back to the historical Buddha. I have had many renowned teachers including Lo Kunzang Rimpoche, Lama Zopa Rimpoche, HH the Gyalwang Drukpa, HH the Dalai Lama, Dzogchen master Chogyal Namkhai Norbu and many others.
I became a Reiki master in the mid-1990s and learned Karuna Reiki to master level soon after which complimented my natural healing abilities. I taught these healing modalities in Leeds, Harrogate and London for many years.
Travel and Adventures
I am extremely grateful to have travelled widely for my work and taken part in secret ceremonies in many diverse cultures and received and shared teachingsĀ from a variety of cultures including research trips to Borneo, Liberia, West Africa, Brazil, Bali, Egypt, Malaysia and Nepal. My travels have been incredibly precious to me, learning first-hand so that I can share knowledge with others.
In 2002 and again in 2014, I spent time in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil researching Afro-Brazilian Candomble, Umbanda and Spiritist religions.
I have also qualified as a practitioner of NLP, training with Richard Bandler and Paul Mackenna. I became a certified life coach with the Coaching Academy in 2008, going on to develop and teach many new methods. This is an ever-expanding area of self-development with new techniques developing regularly, which I share with my coaching clients.
In 2011, I spent time teaching English, European history, comparative religion and Buddhist studies in a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Buddhanilkantha in the Kathmandu valley, Nepal. While there, I was invited into all the monks’ meditations and mind-training practices; which I joined for more than four hours every day. These practices helped me develop my relationship to mystical states of consciousness and trance.
Mediumship Training and Development
In 2004 I started to take advanced mediumship training at the Arthur Findlay College, where I studied with many renowned teaching mediums, including Glyn Edwards, Simon James and Paul Jacobs.
In 2012, after attending many wonderful courses, and previously being invited to begin the college’s teaching programme, I became an approved Tutor of the Arthur Findlay College.
Academic Speaking and Further Learning
From the early 1990s, I became a regular speaker at academic and esoteric conferences and summer schools throughout Europe.
I became a regular speaker on university modules in comparative religion, paganism and spiritualism and in 1995, I was invited to address the Oxford Union Debate and Literary Society at Oxford University on some of these subjects.
Academic Study and Qualifications
In 2013 I began academic study for a Master of Arts (MA) in ancient religions with the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David, which I graduated from in 2016. In this Post-graduate degree, I explored the beliefs of the ancient world including Greece, Rome, ancient Egypt, Asia Minor, early Christianity and Celtic religions. My dissertation subject focused on the changing views of the afterlife in ancient Greece from the sixth – fourth-century BCE.
From 2014 to 2020 I was a regular visitor to Oxford University where I attended many courses and lectures on Biblical interpretation at Oriel College, the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, and The Oxford Centre for Continuing Education where I studied Jewish Apocalyptic texts, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Early Christian mysticism, Philosophy of Religion, Ancient Greek Religion and Mythology, Classical Greek Language and Literature, and Biblical Hebrew.
In 2017 I began to study for a PhD in Classics at the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David. My research examines the Origins, Development and Theurgy of the Chaldean Oracles, a complex collection of Greek fragments from late antiquity.
Teaching and International Media
I have worked internationally as a clairvoyant, medium and healer in The United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, USA, North Africa, West Africa and most of Europe.
I have taught workshops and courses in the UK, USA, Sweden, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and Norway, and lectured widely at international Spiritual conferences in UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Denmark and Norway.
I have been featured many times in the Media in the UK and abroad, including TV, Radio and national press and have been featured in TV programmes in Germany, Switzerland, Japan and Canada.
I have also assisted many PhD candidates working on mediumistic topics, psychic phenomena, magical thinking and consciousness research within the areas of transpersonal psychology, anthropology and history.
In 2015, I was consulted by a committee at the House of Lords on the subject of altered states of consciousness, psi phenomena and the brain, in the UK Houses of Parliament.
